Mrs. Sizemore and Mrs. Lasker went to Europe to study the works of Antoni Gaudi in Spain, Hundertwasser in Austria and Alphonse Mucha in Prague. Antoni Gaudi was a leading architect in the Art Nouveau movement in Spain. He used forms from nature to build amazing buildings. He was a major influence on later artists of the Session Movement in Europe, including Friedensreich Hundertwasser in Vienna. Alphonse Mucha was also a leading artist of the Art Nouveau movement. Many thanks to the Fund for Teachers which gave Mrs. Sizemore and Mrs. Lasker  a grant so that they could  travel to Europe and share what they saw with our school.
