Cell Phones and Electronic Devices
The following rules are in effect for the use of wireless telecommunications devices such as cellular telephones, pagers, personal digital assistants (PDA’s), electronic games, etc.
Students are prohibited from using wireless devices during the academic school day, including passing periods and lunch periods whether inside or outside the building unless expressly approved by the principal or designee.
During school hours, wireless devices must be in a student’s locker rather than on the student, including but not limited to, purses, pockets, and back packs.
In order to avoid any disruption of the educational process,all wireless devices placed in lockers must be turned off.
A violation of any part of this policy will result in the wireless device being confiscated by the administration and other discipline as warranted. The confiscated device must be picked up by the parent/guardian at the Education Service Center at 3027 S. New Haven Ave. and will not be released to any students. The school is not responsible for the theft or loss of wireless telecommunication devices.
