My teaching career began at Glenpool Public Schools where I taught elementary special education for 3 years. This is my first year at Byrd Middle School and I am very excited to have the opportunity to be part of such a caring community. Here at Byrd, I teach self-contained special education classes for 6th-8th grade in the subject areas of Reading, Language Arts, and History.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Northeastern State University and continued my education by earning my Master of Education in School Counseling from Northeastern as well. Currently, I am attending the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond where I will earn an Advanced Graduate Certificate in School Psychology in the Spring of 2011.
