HIDE History

Memorial Junior High School opened its doors in 2011, following a renaming and reconfiguration of Byrd and Nimitz Middle Schools under Project Schoolhouse. Memorial Junior High was named as a memorial to all Tulsa students and teachers who had fought in World War I and II and the Korean Conflict.

The legacy of the veterans memorialized by the school's name reflects the admiration of the veterans by the community for their courage and sacrifice on behalf of the United States of America.
